The planned increase of the torpedo atelier at Surabaya according to the Dutch newspaper De Indische courant dated 15 May 1931

An item reported that the public tender for increasing of the torpedo atelier with associated work on the navy establishment on 26 May was delayed. A new date was not known.
The edition dated 29 June reported that on Friday morning the public tender finally took place. The estimates costs were ƒ 28.100. The firm N.V. Aannemings Maatschappij W.J. Veen was with her tender of ƒ 19.570,- the cheapest. The director of the B.O.W. however had still to approve that the order was given to this firm.
