An item referred to the magazine Proc. dated April 1932 reporting that the first complete electric welded American warships the tug motor tug No. 115 was launched at 18 February at Boston. A second item published in the magazine Schiffbau dated 15 April reported that she was fitted out with 2-400 hp diesels connected with 2-260kW 300 rpm generators. For the auxiliary engines were 235kW generators available. The screw was with 125 rpm driven by a 640hp engine.
