An item referred to the correspondent for Naval Affairs of the British newspaper Times which wrote that now four times German submarine bases in Belgium were attacked by planes. The first attack was on 11 and 12. The second attack wason 16 February by 40 British and 8 French planes. The third attack was on 7 March by just six planes of which four dropped their bombs on the repair yard for submarines at Oostende. During the last attack was also discovered that the Germans were building submarines at Antwerp probably with parts transported from Germany, assembled at Antwerp and there launched in the Schelde. Unless it was possible to arrived at Zeebrugge using canals they only was to reach open seas was via the Schelde. In that case was the neutrality of the Netherlands neglected.
