An item dated London the 18th referred to the British newspaper Daily Telegraph reporting that for the first time since years new submarines were added to the British North Sea Fleet. Common practice was to sent new submarines towards the Mediterranean of China. In August 1935 was intended to station a flotilla of five modern submarines at Portsmouth. In the Channel harbours were in together 21 submarines stationed. Three large submarines of the Mediterranean Fleet were ordered to go to China. After their arrival possessed England in the East Asiatic area over a flotilla of 15 modern submarines armed with totally 120 torpedo tubes.
