French mother ship for submarines Jules Verne launched according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 5 February 1931

An item reported that at Lorient the French mother ship for submarines Jules Verne was launched in the presence of the grandson of the writer.(1)

1. French novellist (8 February 1828 Nantes, France-24 March 1905 Amiens, France) who wrote for instance Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea dealing with the adventures of the submarine Nautilus commanded by captain Nemo.
