French training ship Chacal (A753) 1982-

Of the Leopard-class consisting of the Léopard (A748), Panthère (A749(, Jaguar (A750), Lynx (A751), Guépard (A752), Chacal (A753), Tigre (A754) and Lion (A755). With a full load displacement of 463 tons are the dimensions 43 x 8,3 x 3,2 metres or 141 x 27.1 x 10.5 feet. The two diesels supplies 2.200 hp allowing a speed of 15 knots and with a speed of 12 knots a range of 4.100 nautical miles. The crew numbers 14 men to which another 21 trainees are to be added. The armament consists of 2-2cm Oerlikon guns. Commissioned on 10 September 1983. Laid down at ACM, St. Malo on 11 October 1982 and launched on 11 February 1983.
