An item dated London 18 August referred o tidings received from Amsterdam that since March Germans were building nine submarines at Antwerp, Belgium of which just two were commissioned and in service. On 28 April destroyed British aircraft one submarine, the others remained unfinished. The German took precautions by erecting an iron-barred roof and covering the building with sacks filled with sand. Further more was the building now surrounded by high walls. The latter was confirmed in an earlier item published in a Dutch newspaper, see the link http://warshipsresearch.blogspot.nl/2013/06/german-submarine-building-by-belgian.html
