Japanese submarine I 67 lost according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 26 October 1940

An item dated Tokyo 25 October announced the loss on 26 August of the 67 during manoeuvres south of the Tokyo-bay during a heavy men.(1) On board were 12 officers, 38 warrant officers and an unknown number of sailors. All men were posthumously promoted with a rank higher.

1. Of the KD5-class. Launched on 7 April 1931 at the shipyard of Mitsubishi, Kobe. With a displacement of 1.575 (standard)-1.705/2.330 tons and as dimensions 90,50 (waterline)-95,40 (between perpendiculars)-97,70 (over all) x 8,20 x 4,70 metres.
