New submarines for US Navy ordered according to the Dutch newspaper De Gooi- en Eemlander dated 1 July 1938

An item reported that the US department of navy ordered of more as 30 million US dollars the building of six marines, of which 3 were to be built by the navy yard at Washington and 3 by the Electric Boat Company.
