American armed steamship Petrolite destroyed by German submarine according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviasch nieuwsblad dated 15 June 1917

An item dated Washington the 13th reported that a German submarine destroyed the American armed steamship Petrolite. Two crewmembers reached safely the coast, two boats with the other crewmembers were still missing.
