An item dated Halifax, N.S. the 17th reported that there on Saturday arrived the American steam tanker Maverick loaded with 300.000 gallons of oil. On the 17th broke fire on board out destroying her completely and causing her sinking in the dock. Just a small part of her cargo had been unloaded.
