Laid down as the Dutch frigate Hr,Ms. Willem van der Zaan of the Karel Doorman-class on 6 November 1985 at Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding, Vlissingen, Netherlands, launched on 21 January 1989, 1991 commissioned in the Royal Netherlands Navy, sold on 22 December 2005, decommissioned 25 August 2006 and on 8 April 2008 commissioned as the Belgium Louise-Marie.
Displacement 3.320 tons and as dimensions 123,72 x 14,37 x 6,2 metres. Speed 21 (diesel)-30 (gas turbine) knots. The armament consisted of 8 harpoons, 16 NATO Seasparrows, 1-7,6cm gun, 2x2-torpedo tubes, 2-0’50”machinegns and 1 SGE30 Goalkeeper.
