An item dated Berlin the 14h reported that the cabinet decided to replace grand admiral Köster (10 as commander inf chief of the active German battle fleet by prince Heinrich (2), the brother of the emperor. Köster himself was made available to the emperor until further notice.

1. Hans Ludwig Raimond von Köster or Koester (29 April 1844 Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Schwerin-21 February 1928 Kiel), served in the Prussian and in the Imperial German navies retiring from the latter on his own request a grand admiral on 31 December 1906.
2. Albert Wilhelm Heinrich von Preussen or Henry of Prussia (14 August 1862 Berlin-20 April 1929 Hemmelmark, Schleswig-Holstein), a younger brother of emperor Wilhelm II. Between 1906 and 1909 commander in chief of the German High Seas Fleet and promoted in 1909 to the rank of grand admiral. In 1914 he commanded the German Baltic Fleet until 1918 when he left active duty and in the same year he retired from the navy.
