Russian warship accentually fired at Norwegian steamship Skaats according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated Friday 28 October 1904

An item reported that on last Sunday the Norwegian steamship Skaats of Stavanger was attacked in the Channel by a Russian warship. When the Norwegian flag was shown, stopped the firing while at the same time 18 warships passed. The Skaats arrived a day later at London, England.

Note
1. At that moment was the Russo-Japanese War (8 February 1904-5 September 1905) going on. Russia sent in September the Baltic Fleet commanded by admiral Zinovy Rozhestvensky. On 21 October they accidentally fired at the British fishing fleet of Hull.
