American steam tanker Walter Jennings visiting Amsterdam, netehrlands according to the Dutch newspaper Voorwaarts 15 August 1930

An item reported the arrival on the morning of the 14th at IJmuiden of the American steam tanker Walter Jennings coming from Baytown with as destination Amsterdam. Her draught of 9,1 metres made it impossible to lock her immediately caused by the low water level. She had to wait for several hours in the Buitenhaven (outer harbour) until the water level raised enough to allow her entering the middle locks.
