British steam tanker Cerinthus involved in collision according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 5 February 1937

An item reported that the British steam tanker Cerinthus underway from Hamburg towards Ertvelde collided with another ships. She was now lying at Flushing, Netherlands. The newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated the 6th reported her arrival in the afternoon of the 5th. She was damaged at starboard side near tank no. 3 while colliding with the steamship Jessica near Borkum. Five hull plates were to be renewed. She continued her voyage towards Ertveld (Gent, Belgium) without the use of a tug.
