Chinese merchants founding shipping line Shangha-England according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 1 June 1911

An item referred to tidings received from Samarang reporting that some Chinese merchants intended to operate a steam shipping line on England starting with 13 steamships. Another Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 31 May confirmed the founding of a regular shipping line with 13 steamships between Shanghai and England with a working capital of 25 million tael. In the future was an expansion to the Northern Chinese ports planned.
