Laid up tonnage at Hamburg, Germany decreased according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf dated 8 July 1935

An item dated Hamburg the 6th reported that the total tonnage of ships laid up at Hamburg on 1 July was decreased from 50.304 to 72.916 gross registers tons compared with the situation a month earlier. This decrease was not caused by an increased demand but mainly by the fact that the 20.000 ton measuring Cap Polonia of the Hamburg-Süd shipping line was handed over to be broken up.
