Norwegian whale factory Sydis sold to Germany according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland dated 7 July 1937

An item reported that after a long period of negotiations the Norwegian cabinet permitted the German whale oil industry to buy the floating whale factory Sydis of 8.263 tons. She was the first whale factory bought by Germany in Norway. In the season before chartered Germany two of such vessels.
