British steam tanker Absia became Dutch property according to the Dutch newspaper Voorwaarts dated 21 September 1926

An item reported that the British steam tanker Absia of the Anglo Saxon Petroleum Company Limited at London, England was handed over to the  sister company La Corona at The Hague, Netherlands and on short notice to be Netherlands-flagged. Seven more ships of similar size were to follow her all keeping their original names. The Absia of 5.218 gross and 3.170 net tons was built in 1918 at Harland&Wolff Limited of Glasgow.
