Collision of Dutch steamship Alesum and American steam tanker Dannedaike according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van Friesland dated Tuesday 10 March 1925

An item reported that in the evening of last Sunday the Dutch steamship Aalsum and the American steam tanker Dannedaike collided in the fog 25 miles south of Nantucket. The Aalsum was heavily damaged and making a lot of water. The American ship lowered her life boats for assistance if needed.
