Danish steam tanker Scandia lost according to the Dutch newspaper Voorwaarts dated 1 October 1929

An item dated Miami 30 September reported that the Danish steam tanker Scandia underway from Houston towards Copenhagen during a heavy hurricane stranded south west of Miami and smashed into pieces. Her crew was saved by coastal vessels. She was built in 1918 with a tonnage of 8.548 gross and 6.504 tons.
