Dutch shipping company named Hollandsche Algemeene Atlantische Scheepvaartmaatschappij according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf dated 7 March 1917

another Dutch newspaper the Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant reporting that at
Amsterdam a new shipping company named Hollandsche Algemeene Atlantische
Scheepvaartmaatschappij was founded with a capital of 10 million Dutch
guilders. Her fleet was to number 20 ships. One of these ships was the at that
moment at the shipyard Wilton at Rotterdam, Netherlands being rebuilt steamship Macedonia of
6.338 gross register tons. The other ships were to be newly built. Although the
board was situated at Amsterdam was the shipping company managed at Rotterdam. N. Haas at
Rotterdam was appointed as director. The intention was to be active in the
freight shipping.
