British cable ship Patrol visited Surabaya, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 6 October 1925

An item reported that the British cable ship Patrol owned by the Eastern Extension Company arrived at Surabaya for coal-hold. She came from Fremantle where she had repaired a deep sea cable and was now heading for Singapore.(1)

1. The same newspaper dated Monday 13 February 1905 published an item dated Singapore 13 February reporting that the Dutch steamship Van der Parra of the Koninklijke Paketvaartmaatschappij collided the Saturday before at midnight with a cable ship named Patrol.
