An item reported that on the morning a day earlier the Dutch merchant ship Nieuwe-Holland captain Tuk arrived in the Nieuwediep, Netherlands. On board were 18 passengers and further more a detachment of 120 non-commissioned and soldiers of the Dutch East Indies army including 20 prisoners which had their trial in the Dutch East Indies and transported to the Netherlands for their punishment. All men excluded for the prisoners were temporarily accommodated by P.J. van Wijngaarden. The prisoners were escorted by police agents and marines brought o the guard ship.
