According to a tiding dated Amsterdam 9 April were 46 Dutch Greenland whalers fitted out in Holland namely Amsterdam 23, Dordrecht 2, Rotterdam 4, Schiedam 1, Hoorn 1, Zaandam 6, Westzaan 2, Zaandijk 3, Jisp 1, Rijp 3, from Hamburg were (including for the seals hunt) 28, Altona 1, Gluckstadt 3, Colmer 1, Breemen 2, from Sweden and Denmark were the figures not exactly known and from England probably the same number as in 1779.
