Keel laid down of Dutch merchant ship Koning Willem II at the Commercie Compagnie yard at Middelburg according to the Dutch newspaper Zierikzeesche Courant dated 27 October 1840
At
the yard of the Commercie Compagnie at Middelburg was on 13 October the keel
laid down (for account of the same company?) of a ship and according to a
tiding dated Middelburg 23 October gave the Dutch king permission to name her
Koning Willem II.
