The Dutch navy in the South American area according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 26 August 1825

Amsterdam, 24 August. According to tidings from Curacao dated until 2 July arrived 26 June the Dutch 44-gun frigate Zr.Ms. Amstel captain Bakker with on board general Kraijenhoff and company.(1) The general embarked the 27th. The 28th departed the Dutch brig Zr.Ms. Valk (2) towards Jamaica with on board captain lieutenant de Quartel who had a special assignment for the Mexican government. Some time ago arrived Mr. Merida Colombian trade merchant at Curacao with an armed Colombian ship.
