The loss of the Dutch merchant small tjalk Twee Vrienden off Flushing according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 8 October 1824

Flushing, 2 October. The Dutch small tjalk Twee Vrienden master C. Slewers destined from Antwerp towards Polen with a cargo of tree-bark departed 30 September towards sea but returning due to contrary winds she hit in the night of 1-2 October the sandbank Elleboog and could come loose. Pilots managed to save the crew and the main part of the inventory but ships and cargo were probably lost.
