All together the navy of Belgium consisted of the two brigantines Congres and Les Quatre Journées, each armed with 8 guns, 4 gunboats each armed with 7 guns and 8 sloops, each armed with 5 guns. The Minister van War asked for an additional 350.000 francs to fit out some war vessels.
