Building of Dutch new kofship at Zwolle, Netherlands to replace the wrecked Vrouw Catharina according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 2 August 1838

The Dutch newspaper Overijsselsche Courant reported from Zwolle that while the kofship Vrouw Catharina built there and owned by a local company was wrecked but lucky enough this was not the end of building seaworthy ships. The directors of this company Van der Vegt, Lindeboom and master Lange ordered the laid down of a keel at the yard of Van Goor of a new kofship even larger as the lost, now with the dimensions 31 x almost 8 x nearly 4m and even suitable for voyages towards the Dutch West and East Indies.
