French naval council asking for more battleships according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch Nieuwsblad dated Tuesday 25 May 1909

The French naval council said that an increase of the number of battleships in French service to 38 was a necessity if France desired the 4th position of major naval powers after England, USA and Germany.
