Naval operations of the Dutch East Company off Palembang according to the Generale Missive dated 10 January 1741

With the Haaksburg and the Susang arrived at Batavia 3252 pikol black pepper, 28 pikol white pepper, 2085 pikol tin and 25lb agel timber, total value included the returned 10.000 new Spanish realen and 100 silver ducats was fl. 168.867. The Spanish realen were returned due to the fact that those coins were still not current. Both ships also transported letters dated 3, 4, 15 and 30 April and a letter of the king. The Dam departed from Palembang 20 August towards Batavia. It was ordered to prevent that the royal pepper vessels left to late due to the issue of passports. The costs of repairs and fitting out of the pantjalang Jaffnapatnam, belonging to the factory of Malacca had to be paid by that office. The pantjalang was forced by contrary winds to call at Palembang.
