According
to tidings from Moscow were the spring manoeuvres planned in and around the
Finnish Gulf and to start next Thursday. Military experts expected that the
fleet also consisted of some of the new ships which were built during the
winter. Especially were the new flotilla leaders of the Leningrad-class, one of
two aircraft mother ships and perhaps even some capital ships. In the last two
years was at Archangelsk a new harbour realized with yards even capable of
building cruisers and battleships. What all ready was realized was still
secret.
