The
Dutch newspaper published a news item, originally published in the Moniteur
de la Flotte. The Chinese navy consisted at that moment including the
reserve of 130 war junks, many of them with the length of a European frigate.
Since the outbreak of the hostilities at Canton,
ordered the Chine Government to blockade the river Pa-Llo between Peking and
the Yellow Sea and three of hear side branches
for foreign ships to prevent an attack on the capital city.
