The Greek navy in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 28 June 1826

London, 4 June. According to a letter written by Lord Cochrane to the Pasha of Egypt and published in some newspapers he asked the Pasha to leave Greece and freed all Christian slaves. It’s doubtful if the letter is not false. Lord Cochrane however left to join the Greeks and ordered a steamship to be built in England. This ship joined some others coming from different harbours. Cochrane was on board the Perseverance.
