The Russian discovery voyage of Von Kotzebue according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 3 September 1823

St. Petersburg, 13 August. The 24-gun corvette Onderneming [Predpriatie] left Cronstad 9 August for a discovery voyage around the world.(1) The crew numbered 13 officers and 80 sailors, all volunteers of the imperial navy. Further more were two medicines (one of which was Eschscholtz), an astronomer, a mineralogist and other experts. Her commanding officer was captain lieutenant Von Kotzebue.(2)
