The Spanish navy according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 15 September 1824

The commanding general at Cadiz ordered that the corvette Arethuse, the brigs Jason, Diligente and Jacinte (?), the goelette Andaluza and the gabare no. 8 to depart 27 and 28 August. The first three to cross in the East as far as Almeria, the others in the West as far as Ayamonte to pursue the rebels and protect all coasts. The frigate la Perla which arrived coming from Cartagena was to pursue the Spanish rebels which fled to Gibraltar and were fitting out ships which attacked 13th August Almeria without much success suffering heavily by gunfire of the 2 coastal batteries.
