G.M. van Someren Brand received concession for a towing service according to the Dutch newspaper Opregte Haarlemsche Courant dated 25 March 1862

An item reported that the minister decided to transform the temporarily concession dated 26 February into a final allowing G.M. van Someren Brand to found a steam towage service on the Maas, Noord, Merwede, Waal, Rijn en de Gelderse IJjssel.
