Smirna, 10 May. The newspaper le Spectateur Oriental published a news item dated Alexandria 20 March according to which the flotilla of Mehemet-Ali was preparing for departure. It consisted of 30 ships including a magnificent frigate and to transport 7.000-8.000 men landing troops to Candia.
