Amsterdam, 7 September. A tiding from Corfu dated 9 August reported that the second Turkish fleet left the Dardanelles. It consisted of 4 ships of the line, 4 frigates and other vessels with a total number of 25 and was attacked by the united Greek fleets of Hydra, Spezia and Ipsara totally numbering 120 vessels. The result was that the large Turkish ships were burnt and the smaller ones captured, scattered or fled in worse condition.
