An item reported that the five submarines built by the Electric Boat
Company at Vancouver
for account of the Russian navy were to be delivered in the first week of
January. The total order had a value of 3.250.000 US dollars (building costs of
each submarine was 650.00 US dollars) resulting in a profit of 1.000.000 US
dollars. The form was now negotiating with another country over an order with a
value of 16.000.000 US dollars. Considered all the orders the firm had she
counted on a profit of 16.000.000 US dollars over 1916.
