Dutch steamship Boschdijk ordered to be broken up according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland dated 17 July 1940

An item reported that the Dutch steamship Boschdijk of the Holland Amerika Lijn (HAL) which was sever damaged during the operations at Rotterdam was towed by the tugs Charlois, IJsselmonde and Phoenix to Hendrik-Ido-Abacht where she was to be broken up by the N.V. Holland, Scheepswerf en Machinehandel. The ss Boschdijk was build in 1922 at the shipyard De Noord at Alblasserdam and measured 6.872 gross and 4.240 net tons.
