German artillery training Bremse launched according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1931 no. 2

An item reported that on 24 January 1931 at Wilhemshaven, Germany the artillery training ship Bremse was launched. She was fitted out with fast rotating MAN-engines using Vulcan clutches.(1)

1. Commissioned on 14 July 1932. On 6 September 1941 sunk in Hammerfjord by British cruisers HMS Nigeria and Aurora when she was escorting troop transports. With a displacement of 1.435 (standard)-1.870 (maximum) tons were her dimensions 97,0 (between perpendiculars)-103,6 (over all) x 9,5 x 2,85 (maximum) metres. Her crew numbered 192 men. The armament consisted of 4-12,7cm guns, 8-2cm Flak guns and able to lay 350 mines.
