Sloop Hindustan built for the Royal India Navy according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1931 no. 2

An item reported that the British firm Swan, Hunter&Wigham Richardson Ltd. built for account of the British Indies government the sloop Hindustan.(1) She was the 57th vessel of this kind built by the yard. Fitted out with turbines was she considerable larger as the sloops Scarbourough and Folkestone. In fact was she the first real warship purchased by the Royal Indian navy since her reorganisation.

1. Launched on 12 May 1930 measuring 1.190 tons and as main dimensions 280’ x 35’ was she armed with 2-4” guns. In 1948 handed over to the Pakistani navy where she was renamed Karsaz and finally broken up in 1951. Of the Hastings-class.
