American merchant ship Asia decided to stay at Honolulu before returning to New Bedford according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 17 January 1865

An item reported that the merchant ship Asia lying on 22 November 1864 at Honolulu was to stay there during the winter and return in the spring with a cargo of oil bound for New Bedford.
