An item reported that the fine revenue steam cutter
Pawtuxet got the task during the winter to patrol along the coast between
Boston, cape Ann and Holmes Hole supporting if necessary other ships. She
carried with her extra provisions, fuel, water and so on to supply other ships
if wanted.
