An item referred to a letter written by captain Landers
on 23 November 1864 on board of the Charles W. Morgan at Honolulu. She returned
from Ochotsk with a catch that season consisting of 312 barrels whale oil and 4.600 lbs bone which was
transported towards New Bedford. Her next voyage was towards the Line and
Ochotsk, Russia.
