American whaler Solon lying in November 1864 off the Canary Islands according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 17 January 1865

An item referred to a letter written by captain Barstow on 2 November 1864 on board of the bark Solon off the Canary Islands. Her catch consisted of 40 barrels sperm since leaving Fayal, Azores. Everything was well on board.
