An item dated Talcuano, Chile 10 December 1864 reported the arrival of the Louisiana captain Haskins from New Bedford there on 30 November. In her voyage of 7 months consisted the catch of 110 barrels sperm oil. Intended to cruise now in the North Pacific. She had undergone repairs for the damage caused by a heavy gale. Some crewmembers were lying sick in the hospital.
